Hakko Gakuen Iris Garden

Hana Shobuen is open for a limited time for visitors to see summer flowers that cool the land.

July 7-16,2018

Annually for two weeks in July, Hakkogakuen’s 2ha Hana Shobuen is opened to the public for a fee. A part of the school’s farm, Hana Shobuen features 100,000 brilliant hana shobu [Japanese iris] of 450 types. Hana Shobuen is on a gentle hill and each row features a different type of hana shobu. The color gradation of the flowers is also beautiful and the expansive property allows visitors to photograph the flowers without architectural interference. When Hana Shobuen is opened to the public, the school also sells seedlings of hana shobu and other flowers cultivated by students. There are also student-guided tours of the Hana Shobuen available.
